Rental FAQ's
- Cancellations: We understand that plans can change. This is why we offer a full refund up to 72 hours prior to your booking.
- Delivery: Our inflatables are delivered right to your door within the Kawartha Lakes or Peterborough regions. We do not offer any set up service. Please contact us if you are looking to have our rentals delivered.
- Bad weather refund: Refunds are available up to 72 prior to your booking. Bookings are non-refundable after this time.
- Required Equipment: We supply everything that you would require to inflate our rental equipment. We even include an extension cord for convenience with the blower. You are required to supply ropes/lines and an appropriate anchor. Life jackets are not included and are a necessary piece of safety equipment.
- First Responder Discount: We love First Responders! Police, fire and paramedics are encouraged to contact us directly for booking.
- Pickup Location: We are located in Fee's Landing, just north of Emily Provincial Park in the Kawartha Lakes. Use the link below to find us on Google.
Rental Agreement
Terms and Conditions
- Operation of Equipment: The Renter agrees that all rented equipment shall be used and operated only by persons competent in its operation. The Renter further agrees to operate and maintain/service the equipment in accordance with the manufacturers instructions and applicable laws during the time it is in their possession, regardless of rental time slated on contract(s) and understands neglect to do so may result in an additional charge. The Renter acknowledges they understand the proper use of leased equipment. The Renter further agrees not to operate the leased equipment in a careless or negligent manner.
- General Terms and Conditions: It is hereby agreed that the listed equipment is rented from By The Dock Summertime Rentals by the Renter for the Renter ’s own use and the said equipment will not be loaned, sublet, mortgaged or any other manner disposed by the Renter. The Renter agrees to be liable for any loss of said equipment by fire, theft, or any other cause. Once the equipment has been accepted, either verbally or by signature, By The Dock Summertime Rentals would not be responsible for inclement weather and/or any other conditions which may cause the delay or cancellation of an event.
- Inspection: The Renter acknowledges that they have had an opportunity to personally inspect the equipment, find the equipment in good condition that is suitable for their needs. The Renter further acknowledges that it is their duty to inspect the leased equipment prior to use and notify By The Dock Summertime Rentals of any defects. The Renter also agrees to inspect the equipment periodically.
- Warranties: There are no warranties of merchantability or fitness, either expressed or implied. There is no warranty that the equipment is suited for the Renter ’s intended use or that it is free from defects. By The Dock Summertime Rentals makes no warranty of any said equipment and the Renter agrees to notify By The Dock Summertime Rentals immediately if any leased equipment develops an indication of defect or improper working condition. The Renter agrees to use said equipment entirely at their own risk, to be liable for any damage to persons, its agents, servants, and employees from any and all liability resulting from the operation or use of the leased equipment.
- Damages: The Renter agrees to pay for loss or damage caused by negligence of the Renter, their employees, or persons to whom the equipment is entrusted. The Renter further agrees to pay for loss or damage caused by the use of equipment in violation of any terms of this agreement, and/or any accompanied agreement(s) and/or addendums. If the client has insurance covering such loss or damage, the Renter agrees to exercise all rights available to them under said insurance, take all action necessary to process the claim, and assign said claim and any and all proceeds from said insurance to By The Dock Summertime Rentals.
- Location: The rented equipment shall be at the address specified by the Renter, which address appears on the rental agreement, and the Renter grants By The Dock Summertime Rentals the right to enter said property.
- Supervision and Care: The Renter agrees to supervise the operation, use and storage of the leased equipment from the time the equipment is put in the Renter ’s possession and/or agreed premises until the time the lease equipment is recovered from the Renter’s possession and/or agreed premises. The Renter further agrees to surrender and return all the equipment leases in the same condition in which it was received, normal wear and tear excepted. If the Renter fails to return all the equipment in the aforementioned condition and/or agreed return time, the Renter agrees to pay By The Dock Summertime Rentals the cost of repair or replacement of any damaged or lost equipment and/or any late fees to be determined by By The Dock Summertime Rentals. The Renter hereby agrees to supervise the operation, use and storage of the leased equipment continuously and hereby assumes full responsibility for any injuries in which may result from said operation, use and storage.
- Hold Harmless Agreement: The Renter agrees to assume all risks and hold By The Dock Summertime Rentals harmless for any property damage caused by the leased equipment and/or arising out of any possible By The Dock Summertime Rentals negligence. The Renter acknowledges that participation in any activities with the leased equipment entails known and unknown risks that could result in physical or emotional injury, paralysis, death, or damage to the renter, to property, or to third parties. The Renter understands that such risks simply cannot be eliminated without jeopardizing the essential qualities of the activity. The Renter further agrees to hold By The Dock Summertime Rentals harmless from any claims made by any person, which in any way may arise out of the operation, use, or storage of the leased equipment.
- Warning:
- Follow all operating rules whenever the product is in use.
- Do Not place the product near fire or heating areas.
- Follow all laws and regulations when operating the leased equipment.
- Do Not use the product in rain, strong wind, or extreme weather.
- The Renter acknowledges and agrees to abide by the following rules:
- Please read and understand the manufacturer instructions before attempting to operate the leased equipment. Ask a By The Dock employee if you need any clarification.
- Please refer to the equipment specifications for weight capacity.
- No more than three (3) participants are permitted to occupy the bouncer at any given time.
- An adult must ALWAYS operate the equipment.
- Children under the age of eighteen (18) shall be directly accompanied by a competent adult.
- All participants of inflatables, kayaks, and canoes in water are required to properly wear a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) that conforms to the approval standards of Transport Canada or the Canadian Coast Guard.
- Participants should not attempt to swim under the leased equipment.
- The inflatables must be properly anchored while in operation.
- The leased equipment must be fully inflated before any use and must remain fully inflated until it is no longer occupied and removed from the water.
- Adult supervision is required at all times while the equipment is in use.
- Remove shoes, eyeglasses, jewelry, or any sharp objects before entering the leased equipment.
- Exit the inflatables immediately if they begin to lose air.
- Tell a responsible person of your planned route when navigating your kayak or canoe away from shore.
- No pets are allowed on the inflatable equipment at any time.
- Setup and disassembly services are not included in cost. Equipment left unpacked and not in the agreed upon location will result in the full or partial forfeiture of your security deposit to compensate employees for their time.
- ALL PARTICIPANTS IN THE WATER INFLATABLES, KAYAKS, AND CANOES SHALL BE COMPETENT IN OPEN AND DEEP WATER SWIMMING.
